The history of America's land is the history of the country itself. The land inspired America's dependence as we fought through many different wars to get the land we walk on every day. I show my connections to the land around me as a part of my everyday life. Every part of my day I feel connections to the land and appreciate all of the land and who we got it from, The indigenous peoples have been taken from their homes without reasoning. Beginning in 1830 Andrew Jackson signed the Indian Removal Act which allowed them to take Native people from their land.
This image shows how the indigenous people used Buffalos all throughout their lives. They all had a strong connection with all of the animals and land like how we have connections to animals and land. When we as people of this new century hike, hunt and even just walk on the land in our everyday lives we have to realize that there were people who lived here first that had their land stolen. I experience joy and happiness with this land when I get to go to the mountains and appreciate the beautiful nature of it and remember that this was a part of the indigenous peoples' everyday life. We have to maintain our connection to land and honor the way we earned it. I experience joy through my connections with my family because my grandma is native American, and she always tells us story's her mom used to tell us when she would explore nature when she was young. I believe that teachings on indigenous peoples Lifes will play a big role in future generations.
